We are pleased to invite parents and students to Personal Finance Workshop for Teens: a special event hosted by Rick Waechter, CFP HBS '88. Over 2 hours, we’ll complete a crash course in personal finance for teens. We will cover four topics: budgeting, credit cards, saving and investing. We will split into teams to solve real-world cases, allowing teens to share what they know with each other. We will encourage participants to work together to solve problems and learn from others. Rick Waechter, HBS ’88, will lead the discussion. Rick, who runs a financial planning firm, has taught this material to more than 1,000 teens over the last decade – including his own children, who are now young adults facing these issues.

Teens should bring their important questions to this forum and learn how to successfully manage their finances.

Personal Finance Workshop is being offered in-person on Saturday, September 23 at 12PM. The program starts promptly, so we suggest arriving 15 to 20 minutes beforehand to complete the sign-in process and find a seat.
