The Penn Alumni Club of North Carolina presents:
Staying Cyber-Safe During the Era of Work from Home
The Penn Alumni Club of the Triangle, NC has invited all IVY+ members to join them for a discussion with Eric Robuck, a cybersecurity expert and co-owner and founder of the Valander Group, on Wednesday, May 19th at 6:30. Robuck will speak and answer questions about how to avoid Phishing, Malware, and Ransomware attacks while working from home.
The COVID 19 Pandemic changed the nature of work, and some of it permanently. Working from home, which most employers had frowned upon until just over a year ago, is now the standard for nearly all workers who can do so. However, there are risks, especially with regard to you and your company’s data and systems. Loss of this data can have consequences ranging from being inconvenienced, to real legal and reputational consequences. While some companies have been rigorous about equipping and training their staff on WFH, others have been much less so. And Hackers have certainly noticed that people working in the privacy of their homes are actually much easier targets for their nefarious activities than those onsite, behind firewalls.
The event is complimentary, but you will need to register here. A Zoom link will be sent prior to the event to all registrants.
