Please join us for a very special Harvard program - a fireside chat with local impact investor, Dave Kirkpatrick. He co-founded SJF Ventures twenty years ago as the Sustainable Jobs Fund, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that has since rebranded and evolved to become a B Corp impact venture fund investing in high growth, positive impact companies nationally. Dave helped lead SJF’s capitalization of four funds totaling to $260 million in assets under management.
Dave is a leader in the impact investing arena and serves as the founding co-chair of the Impact Capital Managers (ICM), a network of over 40 venture capital and private equity funds in the U.S. and Canada that seek to deliver superior financial returns and clear and measurable impact as a core part of their investment strategy.
Harvard Business School hosted the kick-off meeting of this group that now represents over $11 billion in impact-focused capital. HBS has also written a case on one of SJF’s Triangle-based investments, Transloc, and the company’s eventual acquisition by Ford Smart Mobility.
