Ivy Plus Event: The Triangle Startup Scene: Yes! You Can Get Involved!
Stanford Alumni Club is hosting a breakfast presentation on May 25th.
The presentation will feature a lively panel discussion about how you can get involved with local start ups as a mentor or angel investor. Even if you don't see yourself as a potential startup mentor or angel investor at this time, this should nonetheless be a very interesting discussion about the robust startup scene here in the Triangle. A very important part of our local economy.
Our panelists will include Jay Bigelow who is the Director of Entrepreneurship for the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), Elaine Bolle a Director with local angel investment group RTP Capital, and Stephen Clossick Fund Manager at Triangle Angel Partners. All three are based here in the Triangle, and experts on local startup activity.
Our breakfast and presentation will be held at the beautiful Hope Valley Country Club in Durham from 7:30 to 9 am.
There is a $25 per person fee for this event. You may register online until May 19. After that, we will be able to accept a small number of "walk ins" at $30 per person space permitting.
