Family Friendly Train Ride in Historic Steam Train
Stanford Alumni Club of the Triangle has organized a train ride at the New Hope Valley Railway.
The train ride will begin at noon at the New Hope Valley Railway (20 min south of Raleigh). It will be a one hour ride through the countryside in open air passenger cars pulled by a historic steam locomotive. Should be a good time for fall foliage colors. It also happens on a day when the railroad has a special beer and BBQ event. Train tickets need to be purchased online in advance from the railroad's website.
