Other Events: Wharton Triangle Club: "Negotiations: Five Mortal Sins" with William A. Young

The Wharton Triangle Alumni Club will be holding a multi-club discussion and book signing event on February 25th featuring Wharton Triangle area alumnus and international negotiator, William A. Young (WG ’78), author of the recently published “Across the Table: An International Oil Negotiator Navigates the Choppy Waters of Global Intrigue”.

Bill will speak about “Negotiations: Five Mortal Sins”.  While there are certainly other negotiations transgressions, Mr. Young will address five which, in his experience, occur with alarming regularity in the business world and other venues.  How does one avoid these pitfalls?  He will also relate a few relevant anecdotes from his book, Across the Table, which focuses on his years as an international negotiator in the energy business in some pretty exotic and far-flung global destinations.  Finally, Mr. Young will make the case for increased focus on negotiations education and training, both in our business schools and in the workplace.
