Nov 30: Come to the hippest new venue in the RTP area for swing dancing, food, and a discussion with Saxaphaw River Mill founders!

 

Join our alumni clubs in evening of revelery featuring swing dancing, music, and discussion with Saxaphaw River Mill founders Tom and Heather LaGarde owners of the Haw River Ballroom and the driving force behind the adaptive reuse and renovation of the Saxapahaw River Mil!

You will need two tickets for the evening: a ticket to dance & a ticket for the pre-event networking/food. (total cost around $35)

Ticket 1:  $10/$12 Swing dance/ orchestra tickets: http://www.hawriverballroom.com/event/160431/ $10 in advance, $12 at the door.These must be purchased by you directly from the Haw River Ballroom.
 
Ticket 2:  $25 for pre-show event/food tickets: This ticket is for the pre-dance activities and includes heavy hor d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages. (Alcoholic beverages may be purchased by individuals at the amazing Eddy Pub in the complex).

About the orchestra & the Haw River Ballroom

The North Carolina Revelers Orchestra is performing at the Haw River Ballroom.  Known to its fans as “the Revelers,” the band plays the best of the Great American Songbook. Visit the historic Rivermill in Saxapahaw for a great dance venue and a great dance band.

The NC Revelers Orchestra is a show and dance band in the tradition of the great touring bands of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Les Brown and others. The 19 musicians are some of North Carolina's finest, bringing alive the best of the great American songbook of popular show and dance tunes. 

The Haw River Ballroom is the former dye house of the historic Saxapahaw Rivermill located between Graham and Chapel Hill, NC.  An easy drive from the Triangle and Triad, the Saxapahaw Rivermill is a wonderful example of adaptive reuse of a former cotton mill.  Featured in the New York Times and the Washington Post, this historic village is a vibrant community acclaimed for its food, music, farmland, forests, lakes and riverside trails.
