Cree is one of the most exciting companies in the U.S. - President Obama has visited it twice!

Harvard Business School recently published a case titled Cree, Inc.: Which Bright Future? about this Durham-based LED lighting revolution leader.

Three Cree executives have agreed to participate in a discussion of this HBS Case for our Harvard alumni community as well as alumni from Stanford and MIT.

Come join our club for a tour and an HBS Case discussion led by our own Grace Ueng (MIT/HBS). The discussion will feature these three of Cree's top executives:

  • Director of Marketing Tom Roberts (HBS '99),
  • Vice President-Legal, General Counsel & Secretary Adam Broome (HLS '81), and
  • Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Christopher James  (Stanford GSB '85).

Schedule:

6:00 p.m. gather at the CREE auditorium

6:10-6:30 tour of public CREE manufacturing line facility (see the line in action from a viewing area outside of the factory floor)

6:30-7:15 buffet supper at the CREE cafeteria

7:30-8:30 p.m. panelists and case discussion

Location and Directions to the CREE auditorium, 4600 Silicon Drive:

Take I-40 to Exit 281.
Go north on Miami Boulevard.
Take a right onto Chin Page Road.
Take the next left-hand turn onto Silicon Drive.

The CREE auditorium is in the first building on the right. To get there:

Turn right to go into the Vistors' parking lot (this is building 10 but it does not have a number on it, just a sign for visitors). The parking lot "T"s and you should turn left to drive along the building. At the end of the building is the entrance to the CREE auditorium.

Tickets: 

This is an invitation only event for guests of the Harvard, Stanford, and MIT clubs. All tickets must be purchased in advance, current (dues-paid) Harvard Club members are entitled to purchase one ticket for $15.00. All other tickets are $20.00. All tickets will be held at the door.
