iraIra Knight Presents: Martin Luther King, An Interpretation

An Original 1-Man Play.

The Harvard Club is proud to partner with Ira Knight, critically acclaimed playwright and actor, to present an original, thought-provoking 1-man interpretation of the many facets of Martin Luther King, Jr., including his complex human side. Not imitation and mimicry, but a unique, educational work that brings the man to life — from mythical icon and subject of “1 day in January” to a real live human being — in performances that have touched audiences from high school to age 85.

Martin Luther King, An Interpretation, first premiered in November 2016 at Carrboro Arts Center, and had a successful run from January to Jun 2017. The performance has had touring engagements on college campuses throughout the southeast and is suitable for school children.

A light reception with follow the performance.
