Not only is he one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the Triangle, he is also role models giving back as one of the most supportive of budding entrepreneurs. We are thrilled to have landed Scot as our next featured CEO!
He co-founded and currently serves as CEO of Spiffy, a technology enabled on-demand service where technicians come to you and frictionlessly take care of your vehicle. Spiffy just announced the closing of their $30M Series C round on February 15. Founded as a mobile car wash and detail company in 2014, they have delivered over 2 million mobile automotive services nationwide, at a current astounding pace of 3,000 - 4,000 daily across 45+ markets.
Scot also founded and ran 3 other Triangle successes: ChannelAdvisor which IPO’d in 203, AuctionRover which sold to Goto.com, now part of Yahoo!, and Stingray Software, acquired by Rogue Wave Software.
Founder and General Partner of The Triangle Tweener Fund, Scot’s philosophy for this fund is to provide financial resources to start-ups that are too early for traditional venture capital.
Scot earned a BS and Masters in Computer Engineering from University of South Carolina and NCSU respectively.
