Harvard Club Annual Luncheon Featuring Bernie Mann, HBS '88 - Celebrating the Essence of North Carolina
The Harvard Club of the Research Triangle is proud to host the annual Spring Luncheon, with guest of honor, Bernard “Bernie” Mann, HBS ’88. Mr. Mann is the owner and publisher of Our State magazine, North Carolina’s premier travel, history, and culture publication.
Our State has been nationally recognized as the winner of two FOLIO: Gold Eddie awards, the magazine industry’s largest competition, for the “Best Full Issue: Regional Magazine.” The Our State brand also includes Our State, a 16-time Emmy® Award-winning television series based on stories in the magazine.
Mr. Mann has received numerous accolades over the years. In December of 2012, Governor Beverly Perdue bestowed Mann with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, one of the highest honors a governor can award. In addition, former Governor Easley awarded him with the 2006 “Winner’s Circle” award for his contribution to North Carolina’s Travel and Tourism Industry, the 2005 North Carolina Presenters Consortium Award for service to the arts industry, and the 2003 Charles Kuralt Media Award for the promotion of North Carolina. Mr. Mann and his wife, Bobbie, live in Greensboro, NC.
